ESTA fee: In 2011 tourists pay to enter the United States

Travel Promotion Act
This tax measure is for nationals of certain countries only. These are countries that have an agreement with the United States to ensure the visa exemption for their citizens. The countries involved in the so-called "visa waiver" (visa waiver) and thus the new tourist tax are: Germany, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United States, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland.
If you are a citizen of his country and
you go to the United States under a visa waiver (for a maximum stay of 90 days) then you are covered by the new American tax.

You will be asked to pay when filling the ESTA form via the Internet, but you can also pay your arrival airport in a special window.
For now, the government ensures that the tax will not be increased for a period of five years, but it is possible that management fees (from $ 2 to $ 5) are added later.
